| Life in the New Age |

| Much has been written about life in the future; much fictional writing is devoted to a description, imaginatively conceived, of the life ahead for humanity. Almost without exception, these writings describe a life and environment dominated by technology and scientifically organized systems. A chilling, mechanistic view of the future is held before the reader who could be forgiven for preferring the present, with all its uncertainties and dangers, to such an inhospitable prospect. |
| However, the future need not be so bleak and barren of human warmth as that presented by writers of fiction. That science and technology will flourish, there is no doubt; we are entering an age in which the mysteries of life will be revealed, and the energies of the universe will be controlled, through the discoveries of science. Our technology, too, will become ever more sophisticated as it adapts to the challenges posed by these discoveries. We must ensure that a proper balance is maintained, and that the achievements and resources of science are channelled along lines that serve, rather than are served by, mankind. |
| We will help you to do this. Ours will be the task to oversee the development of the new society along paths that preserve correct balance, and naught that infringes human need will receive Our recommendation. Beauty and sense of fittingness will be the touchstone. All that is ugly, mechanical, and harmful to the human spirit will be eschewed. The aim will be to maintain, in full freedom and harmony, a right relationship between man and his environment; to ensure that every technological and scientific advance is seen as serving better man’s needs and knowing better the nature of Reality. |
| In this way, you may be sure, the needed safeguards will be built into the new structures. All that pertains to the enhancement of life and the beautifying of its forms will know Our blessing; every manifestation which serves the common weal will gain Our support. |
| The time is coming when man will develop a new relation to his environment. In keeping with his sense that man, nature and God are One, he will build forms which allow him to manifest that truth. The closest contact and free interchange between all aspects of the Whole will be achieved; a sure knowledge of the meaning and purpose of life will replace the present confusion and lead to a demonstration of beauty hitherto unknown. The true, the good and the beautiful will become a reality in men’s lives. |
| All of this presupposes, and depends on, a change in direction from the present chaos. Naught of good can emerge without a fundamental restructuring of social forms along lines more compatible with human needs. Were man to realize how much of his God-given potential is sacrificed to the present unholy order, he would delay not one moment in making the needed changes. Were he to sense but an inkling of the glory of that potential, naught would be allowed to bar his way to its achievement. The future calls man to his finest efforts, his noblest aspiration, his grandest vision. |
| Let man build a future in which his sacrifice is not of his divinity but of his separated self. Let him embrace his brothers in love and make himself whole. |

“… as those familiar with the esoteric teachings given out in Alice A. Bailey’s and Benjamin Creme’s books about the externalization of the Hierarchy know: crisis is often a catalyst for a breakdown of old structures, and destruction ever precedes the building of the new.
|
|
|
If we look back to another relatively recent pivotal moment in world history – the period of the World Wars – we can observe the Spiritual Hierarchy’s efforts to help guide humanity in a time of great chaos. The American President at that time, Franklin D. Roosevelt was an initiate who through his office exhibited the qualities of vision, courage, and dedication to the greater good – expressions of soul consciousness that enabled tremendous improvements to the life of his fellow Americans and all of humanity, particularly through his work to secure peace throughout the world in the founding of the United Nations.

In 1934, a close disciple of the Master Morya, Helena Roerich, was given the task of sharing the Masters’ guidance directly with Roosevelt. This took place through letters she wrote to him, beginning in the autumn of that year, hand delivered by two of her close associates. Although the President knew nothing about the ‘Himalayan Brotherhood,’ he evidently received and took these messages to heart as inspired advice. These letters, written between October, 1934 and January 1936, were recently published in a book attributed to Helena Roerich entitled: The Secret World Government, Cosmic Guidance for the Leader. … In her first letter to Roosevelt, written 10 October, 1934, Roerich shares her mission: ‘At the austere hour when the entire world stands at the threshold of reconstruction and the fate of many countries is being weighed on the Cosmic Scales, I am writing to You from the Himalayan Heights, to offer You the Highest Help. The Help of that Source, which since time immemorial stands on constant Vigil, observing and directing the march of world events into saving channels. History of all times and all peoples bears witness to this Help, which concealed from public notoriety, is usually extended at the turning point in the history of countries.’ …”

Clear Choices in a Divided World
|

“At least now, the choices are clearly defined – the alternatives revealed in ways that were once less obvious: what kind of world we want, what kind of country we aim to be, and what kind of people we aspire to become. It is up to us, then, to make our decision, upon which the future will be built.
|
|
On the face of it, there appear to be a variety of choices around any given issue. But if we look with dispassion and love at the major concerns of the day, can we truly say there are choices at all? Take a simple example: should we support drilling for oil, or not? When viewed through the lens of our guiding criteria – dispassion and love – the answer is plain, and is therefore free from choice.
|
|
Or take a more urgent example: is it ‘right’ to support Israel in its actions against the Palestinian people? The Israeli government and military are committing genocide, all support – arms, aid, and political cover – therefore, should be withdrawn, and Israel completely isolated. This again is a choiceless decision, free from dilemma, if, and it’s a big if, we are willing to see the situation clearly, through the unflinching light of dispassion and love.
|
|
But most – if not all – of our choices arise not from this point of clarity, but from a muddled, self-centred position: our likes and dislikes, our desires and fears, our psychological and sociological conditioning.
|
|
Within this fragmented space, choice – routinely conflated with freedom – has little, if anything, to do with, freedom – true freedom. And can there be any other kind?
|
|
In fact, freedom does not equate with choice – but with love, and it is from this shining source that our ‘choices’ should emerge, if we – humanity – are to face the challenges of our time and begin to build a new and just world. …” [Read the balance of this inciteful article here. | Life flourishes following higher Laws |

This essentially new concept of living relates it to the great Law of Cause and Effect (the Law of Karma in the East) and the connected Law of Rebirth, the basic laws of our planetary existence. The Over-arching Priorities: Sharing, Justice, Peace

On April 5th five to six million Americans took to the streets in over 2,000 planned and thousands more unplanned protests against new government actions seen as widely threatening to ordinary people, the environment, and world stability in general. On April 19th weekend the rhythm of national protests continued. Share International co-workers in different cities participated and encouraged everyone to support future demonstrations in whatever way they can.

While these record-breaking events might be seen only as a response to unexpected, unprecedented political decisions, they might also signal that people in the developed world are suddenly awakening from their complacency and signaling their readiness for the Masters to take Their next steps forward: where ordinary citizens everywhere are showing boldly that we must work together to make sharing, justice and peace the over-arching priorities of a new world based on One Humanity.

Global Gathering – Spotlight on Outreach
|
|
|
A special day of sharing, connection and inspiration was enjoyed by co-workers who came together on April 26th for an online gathering focused on outreach. Participants shared information on outreach initiatives from 18 countries in Europe, Mexico, Canada, USA, Japan, New Zealand and Australia. Additional presentations were given by the US National Ad Group, Share Latina, and an exciting new film documentary currently in development.

An Open Forum offered all co-workers the opportunity to share their own projects and initiatives, fostering even greater collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
|
|
A new phase seems to be opening up and co-workers are experimenting with inspiring new possibilities for our Reappearance work.
|

Dare to Be Aware - Milwaukee, WI
|
|
|
The Dare to Be Aware event on April 12 drew a broad attendance. Visitors included two young men from South India who were immediately attracted to the ancient Indian image of Maitreya as Kalki Avatar and the explanation that His name is from the Sanskrit word "maitri" meaning loving-kindness. A young man from Ecuador, in the US for 1.5 years, was also drawn to the message about the World Teacher. A cheerful Black woman came by and said, "there's good energy here, I can feel it!" Another woman said she would display the image of Maitreya's Hand at the healing center she runs. There were lengthy, deep conversations with a young woman, an art therapist, who was drawn to the images of Benjamin Creme's esoteric art and a postcard about justice, peace, and sharing, and also a young man who was familiar with the esoteric works of Alice A. Bailey. Many snapped pix of the QR codes for the free book downloads and e-newsletter. On display was the “Chalice” lithograph, radiating beneficial rays of Love throughout the hall, and at the end of the day the organizer of the event came by, pointed to it and said, “that is really cool!”

Hindu Fine Arts Festival
|
|
|
The San Diego Hindu Fine Arts Association event held on April 11-13 had mostly Hindu Americans in attendance. They showed a keen interest in the Reappearance message and booth materials and typically wanted to know the relationship of Maitreya and Sai Baba. I spoke to over 300 people in the three days, and most people – with a warm greeting – wanted to take the outreach materials to read more. The committee members that host this event are aware of Maitreya and typically inquire to see if I would like to host a booth at these events. —RP

How does Transmission Meditation play a part in enhancing or helping the art of living?
Inevitably it does. It helps you to get on with life, feel better, happier, more sound, more in equilibrium. The world has lost a remarkable voice with the death of Pope Francis (1936 – 2025). Known as a reformer and humanitarian, he could equally be remembered as a rebel and a magician.
|
|
In sincerity and humility, he brushed aside imposing Vatican norms. Opting for the simple guesthouse over the opulence of the Apostolic Palace, he chose accommodations more fitting for his papal mission of living with the people. As head figure of one of the wealthiest religions in the world, an institution that has amassed large amounts of gold and precious metals, he chose to look the other way and focus on the needs of the less fortunate.

Almost immediately after ascending the throne of Saint Peter, he performed magic in front our eyes. Long held barriers between Christians and those of other faiths (and even atheists) were suddenly being dissolved in a way that few have ever seen. It does not take long to scroll through comments sections under news articles on Francis to see how people continually made statements like, "I may not be Christian, but I have a deep admiration for Pope Francis ... he consistently demonstrates love and compassion, especially when compared to the church's historical context. ... As a humanist, I will remember him fondly.”

Francis saw all life as sacred. Every action is needed to protect the lives of humans, animals, plants and “our Sister, Mother Earth who sustains and governs us, and who produces various fruit with coloured flowers and herbs.”
|
|
The need for balance, for a just redistribution of basic supplies to all in need, was repeated throughout his encyclicals and speeches. "Let us pray that the planet's resources will not be plundered but shared in a just and respectful manner." For Francis, it was simple, "No to plundering, yes to sharing.”
|
|
Is it any wonder that a Master of Wisdom once dedicated an article to Pope Francis and the Dalai Lama?
|
|
“Currently there is in the world a group of wise individuals showing humanity the new situation. Among others, Pope Francis is a unique expression of the people’s ideal, and close to his people. The Dalai Lama, too, is playing a powerful role on behalf of the people he represents.
